Your Community Newspaper

The EMC plays a key role in your community, delivering news and information that is important to you. And more of you are making the EMC part of your daily lives. We are delighted to report that within the communities in which we have completed our COMBASE readership studies, the EMC has been given an A+ on its report card. The EMC is the number one read newspaper in its respective markets and we have you, our readers and advertisers, to thank.

The EMC now serves 27 communities making us one of Canada's largest community newspapers. Our circulation has grown from 90,000 to 474,000 over the past several years with the acquisition of the Ottawa News Publishing Ltd. (Fall 2005), the Kingston Heritage & the Gazette (October 2007), the Shield Media Group in Belleville (March 2008) and the launch of the EMC Community Newspapers in Kanata, Richmond, Stittsville, West Carleton, Arnprior and Nepean (2005/06) and The Now EMC in Ottawa-East and Ottawa-Orleans extending to Rockland, Ontario (April 2007). Most recently, The EMC has been busy launching a Manotick / Winchester edition (October 2008). This growth complements our successful, existing family of EMC community newspapers in Brockville / St. Lawrence, Perth, Smiths Falls, Almonte, and Carleton Place.

From offices located in Belleville, Kingston, Brockville, Smiths Falls, Ottawa, and Kanata, EMC's talented staff thrive on the challenge of producing a product that reflects the uniqueness of each community while meeting the needs of its readership through community-based editorial, Network Classifieds, and special supplements.

EMC newspapers are delivered on time through quality, verified distribution, thus ensuring the satisfaction of both readers and advertisers. We are committed to delivering results for your business and we thank you for providing us with the opportunity to serve your marketing needs.
